What made you decide to breast feed?
The amazing health benefits for both baby and mother, and the irreplaceable bond created between us.
How many kids do you have?
3
How old are your kids?
7 (almost 8), 6, 2
Why did you start using milkscreen?
It was a year after my baby was born, I wanted to continue breastfeeding, but with multiple functions/festivities approaching, I wanted to be sure that I was still being safe.
How long have you been using milkscreen?
I used it for about a year.
How does milkscreen make you feel as a mom?
I feel like I am making a responsible choice for my baby. I was proud to be able to continue breastfeeding for two years, in part, thanks to the freedom Milkscreen offered.
Are you self-conscious about using milkscreen?
I was initially.
If so, please tell us why?
I was worried that people might mistakenly think that my motivation was anything other than the best for my child. The reality was that I wanted to enjoy myself, while ensuring that my baby didn’t receive any of the after effects.
How do you overcome your self-consciousness when using the product?
It’s a personal choice. I have since promoted it to women who might have the same concerns.
When do you find yourself using milkscreen?
Mainly after functions in which multiple glasses of wine were consumed over the course of the evening. I had researched enough, and feedings were far enough apart at this point, for me to feel safe after a glass or two, but I wasn’t sure about the cumulative effect over the course of the evening. I wanted to ensure that there was none left over for the morning feeding.
Do you have a funny story about your kids that you would like to share?
We love bath time. All three boys fit in our large garden tub. Occasionally I put on a mud mask and they feign fear of the mommy monster. Afterward, they love to run around naked to music, usually with air guitars, singing made up songs. They call themselves The Naked Brothers Band.
What are some of your favorite baby products (other than milkscreen!)?
All-time favorite: the Boppy Pillow. Also love the Baby Einstein videos and cd’s. Dispensable favorites include Huggies Baby Lotion with Shea Butter, Aquaphor, and travel size Purell.
When not being a mom, we can find you:
I’m a licensed therapist (LCSW) in private practice once a week. A few of the other days, I’m out with my baby jogger or at the local gym (currently training for a ½ marathon). But, by far, my favorite is being my children’s mom.
Assuming there was sufficient childcare in place, what would you love to do right now?
Right now, enjoy a long run, followed by a hot bath with all the trimmings. In general, I long to catch up on (that is, begin) scrapbooking.
Where is your favorite spot to vacation?
The mountains (we live at the beach).
How would you finish this sentence, “I am passionate about ______”?
my children, our family.
What is your favorite thing about the city you live in?
The oceanfront (less than 5 miles away).

Oprah; Friday Night Lights.
The best movie you have seen in the last 12 months was:
Since I am too tired to recall any other than the one I just finished watching with my oldest son, I’ll say “Two Brothers”.
